CONGRATULATIONS to Breckyn Peterson! She has been selected to sing the National Anthem for the 2025 State Girls Wrestling Championship Finals at 6:30 PM CST on Wednesday, February 19th at the CHI Health Center in Omaha. Her performance will be seen across the state on Nebraska Public Media.

The Sutton School Board is preparing to hire a new superintendent for the 2025 - 2026 school year. Hiring a superintendent is one of the most important tasks a board must face. As the board plans for the hire, they seek and value the input of patrons, parents, staff, and administrators. The board extends an invitation to share your comments to the following questions via the methods listed below: 1. What are the strengths and accomplishments of the school district? 2. What are the strengths or advantages of the community? 3. What challenges are the district currently facing or will the district face in the coming years? 4. What background experience should the new superintendent possess? 5. What personal and professional qualities will be important in a new superintendent? You may submit your personal comments via one of the following methods: 1) Access the online form at Survey Monkey Link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Sutton2425 2) Email: sbecker@nasbonline.org 3) A copy of this form is available at the Superintendent’s Office and may be filled out by hand. The Nebraska Association of School Boards is assisting the board in the superintendent search process and has scheduled a visit to the school and community on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. The board extends an invitation to participate in this visit to share thoughts regarding the district, community, and superintendent position. If you are unable to attend, please share your comments to the following questions via the methods listed below: 1. What are the strengths and accomplishments of the school district? 2. What are the strengths or advantages of the community? 3. What challenges are the district currently facing or will the district face in the coming years? 4. What background experience should the new superintendent possess? 5. What personal and professional qualities will be important in a new superintendent?
